About the Bands

Outlaw Shine

In May of 2016, Outlaw Shine came to the stage with an energy that could not be denied. Country music isn’t a fad, it isn’t something we listen to on the weekends. Country music is what we were raised on and it tells a story about our life. We love our families, our country and our freedom. Our ability to entertain is a gift and we give back to our community as often as possible. We play a variety of music, originals that tell our stories to Waylon, Hank and Johnny Cash to Bonnie Raitt, Tyler Childers and Ashley Mcbryde.

Our band is recognized as a dance band, we teach country dance before and during and keep people dancing throughout the night. Outlaw Shine is a party, it’s a lot of shine mixed with some raw guitar licks, dirty drum beats and soulful vocals.

Fog Holler

Innovation meets tradition in bluegrass band Fog Holler. Based in Portland, Oregon, the band features keening brother duo harmonies, rollicking banjo, sassy guitar, bowed bass, and ripping fiddle. Inspired by a range of influences from The Stanley Brothers to Buck Owens to Primus, Fog Holler breathes fresh life into well worn forms like the murder ballad and the power waltz. With deeply personal, sometimes tongue-in-cheek lyrics, the band pays homage to their classic country and bluegrass forbears by modernizing these familiar frameworks. Described by two-time Grammy Award Winner Cathy Fink as “The next generation of the many shades of grass”, Fog Holler’s captivating tunes and coordinated outfits are quickly enthralling longtime bluegrass fans and newcomers alike.

The Blues Aces

The Blues Aces consist of legendary vocalist Diamond Don Evans and his backing band (Bill Stotts on sax and keys, Noah Hill on guitar, Patrick Ostander on drums, and Austin Kaiser on bass). The son of a sharecropper, Don was born in the Mississippi Delta, where he learned the true meaning of the blues and gained a following as one of the most powerful singers of his generation. Many claim his gift came from God, while others claim he acquired it after a fateful midnight meeting with a mysterious stranger at a rural crossroads in the Delta. Whatever the truth may be, we hope you enjoy our renditions of classic Chicago blues songs from many of the greatest artists in the genre.

Lana and The Dirty Dishes

Lana and the Dirty Dishes play a fun mix of classic country and americana with some bluegrass twangs and original compositions for flavor. The Dirty Dishes may come and go, but expect to see Aaron Boals on upright bass, Dick Mombell on guitar and harmonica, Gregg Vollstedt on guitar, lap steel and dobro, Tim McCornack on guitar and mandolin, and Lana Dishner herself playing guitar and singing. All our gentlemen are fantastic vocalists and carry 3 and 4-part harmonies mighty fine. We always have a real blast playing music for folks, so get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into some Dirty Dishes!

Ten Spiders

Ten Spiders is a regional folk rock band with a jammy edge based out of Portland, Oregon. Front person Rossi radiates an indisputable passion, crooning the sweetest high notes to belting it, blues-style. The songs are buoyed by masterful guitar influenced by decades of playing banjo. Set to appealing, often funky grooves, witty lyrics reflect the angst and joy of life in the modern world.

In the late 90s and early 00s, this band built a following on the east coast playing relentlessly at venues in 10 different states and appearing on radio and television. They released 2 CDs that were played on numerous radio programs.

Now they plan to repeat past successes on the west coast with an inspiring lineup of songwriters and versatile musicians, previewed on tracks on their 3rd studio recording “Dust Anyway”. Together, they’re spinning a new web for 2023 and beyond.

Alder Street All-Stars

With each performance Alder Street manifests a new battle between the forces of traditional twang and rock ‘n roll. Rooted in acoustic instrumentation, they lash out with soul-laden vocals, lightning-infused solos, and a driving rhythmic core. They also go on eclectic jaunts into tango, folk, and funk.

Having played around the Pacific Northwest for over 15 years, their rough-hewn roots have given way to tight song arrangements which give way to occasional instances of band-wide jams.
